​Jakobstad–Pietarsaari is a charming coastal town offering visitors cultural attractions, maritime nature, historic wooden districts, botanical gardens, and scenic beaches. Skata’s wooden houses, the town’s tobacco‑industry heritage, the Fäboda beach area, and the Old Harbour provide memorable experiences. The town also offers group‑friendly activities, events, and restaurant experiences.

If you're arriving with your car, you can drive the Pre-tour route yourself.
If you wish to join the bus, you can leave your vehicle in Pietarsaari, where the tour will both begin and end.

Preliminary pre-tour PROGRAM
​Friday 23 October
VR-sponsored train journey for Pre-tour participants to Jakobstad-Pietarsaari
A Visit Jakobstad–Pietarsaari guide welcomes the group at the station, guides them to the shuttle bus, and transfers them to the city centre (approx. 10 km), with a short walk of about 200 metres to Stadshotellet.
16:00 Meeting at Stadshotellet.
16:15 Walking tour to the Old Harbour (1.5 km one way), a historical maritime area of Jakobstad–Pietarsaari.
19:00 Presentation of Stadshotellet.
19:30 Dinner at the hotel restaurant.
Saturday 24 October
07:00 Breakfast at the hotel opens
09:00 Visit to Tyynelä’s Elf Village in Luoto, located along the Seven Bridges route.
11:00 Tasting lunch at Strandis Smokehouse and introduction to Strandis Smokehouse Village.
14:00 Tour of specialty shops in the city centre of Jakobstad–Pietarsaari.
15:30 Escape room game and guided tour at Nanoq Arctic Museum.
17:15 Visit to the Fäboda coastal area and its natural surroundings.
19:00 Dinner
Sunday 25 October
07:00 Breakfast at the hotel opens
Hotel check-out before the programme starts, with luggage stored at the hotel.
10:00 Guided walking city tour in the centre of Jakobstad–Pietarsaari and the Skata wooden house district.
12:00 Lunch and presentation of Hotel Epoque.
13:30 Guided visit to the Tobacco Museum and the city’s gardens.
16:00 Meeting at Stadshotellet.
Approx. 16:40 Departure by coach from Stadshotellet towards Kalajoki with group transporation or invidually by your own trasnportation vechile
